I (Glenn) participated in the College Program in Spring 1991 while a sophomore at the University of New Orleans. I worked at the Dolphin Resort in the Disney gift shop, "Daisy's Garden." All College Program participants stay at Vista Way apartments. My roommates were Chris, Patrick E., Robert, Anthony and Patrick. They were a great bunch of guys and we became good friends during the four months on the program.

This was the experience of a lifetime, and I wouldn't trade a minute of it.

As part of the College Program, we all went through training classes in one of four disciplines: Resort Management, Theme Park Management, Studio Production and Management Disney Style. I elected to go through the Theme Park Management classes. These were 10-full day classes (one a week) with a group project and presentation at the end.

Our project was to design a merchandise location for a music pavilion in EPCOT Center Future World. Included in this design was the themeing, quality of product, fixturization, configuration, sales per sq. foot, labor hours, availability of product, storage, synergy with other merchandise areas and quality business practices. We came up with the name "Lyrics" for the store and my assignment was to come up with the sales per sq. foot and the labor hours. I also presented this information during the presentation on April 23, 1991. We did a great job.

Because I did well with the presentation and in the classes, I graduated from Disney University with a "Ductorate" Degree in Theme Park Studies, which is the highest degree offered. I'm pretty proud of this degree.
